Hot Toys Teases More TDKR Batman Pics

I’m still waiting for Bane, but Hot Toys continues to tease the upcoming Batman figure for The Dark Knight Rises. The good news is that they’ve redesigned the suit as a fabric with armor plating – this should avoid some of the reported problems with the earlier Batman DX, like oily leaks and corrosion. I’d think that another plus of the fabric suit would be better poseability.

A great figure not only requires an accurate head sculpt, but also a full gear of outfit and accessories true to the original. After long development, we are excited to bring to fans our newly developed Batsuit of the DX Batman, featuring fabric costume with armor originally developed based on the costume design in The Dark Knight Rises movie!Batman fans, the most authentic Batman is arriving in the city very soon! Hot Toys – The Bat Vehicle from The Dark Knight Rises Needs its own Hangar

And you thought the Hot Toys Tumbler (the re-release of which should arrive in August) was big? I have tried to avoid any clips or news about the movie, so I don’t have any idea if this behemoth of the Bat has been shown, but damn, that thing is going to be massive. Get ready to move one of the cars onto the street, because that’s going to take up one parking space on its own.

This thing is cool, but I’m still waiting for the reveals of Bane and Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises movie is coming in just two weeks! Batman fans, are you ready for the movie and its collectibles?

Here comes the DX Batman in its high-flying The Bat collectible from the movie! Please expect the most movie-accurate DX Batman to come very soon!

ThreeA Toys Fighting JC and Fantome de Plume Coming to 1/12 Scale… Eventually

I’m a big fan of 3A Toys, but 1/6 scale is the default, and that’s space and cost prohibitive for a guy like me. Fighting JC is one of my most wanted, and I’m psyched for his eventually release in 1/12 through the Action Portable line. These pics come from Ashley Wood’s Instagram account, but I am a newb and can’t seem to find it in Instagram’s search. No official date when these will be coming – I’ll be waiting for a divine message.

Disney Store Swings Two Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man Exclusives

I haven’t been to a Disney Store in a while – since long before the Marvel acquisition. Have they had a lot of Marvel items on the shelves?

Like flies caught in a web, everyone is buzzing about the new Amazing Spider-Man movie, and Diamond Select Toys has already put out some amazing collectables based on the film! In addition to a movie-inspired series of their popular Minimates mini-figures, DST also recently shipped their Marvel Select Spider-Man and Lizard action figures to comic shops and specialty stores. Well, now MarvelStore.com, DisneyStore.com and physical Disney Store locations will have two special editions of Spidey, as well!

The first exclusive Marvel Select figure will be a version of Spider-Man with interchangeable gloveless hands, plus an interchangeable unmasked Peter Parker head, featuring the likeness of Andrew Garfield. The other exclusive figure will be an entirely metallic version of the regular Spidey figure, depicting the extra-shiny side of the new, big-screen Spidey-suit! Look for both special editions to arrive on MarvelStore.com, DisneyStore.com and Disney Store shelves in early July!

Hot Toys Updates Avengers Movie Lineup with Improved Thor, New Black Widow, and More

Hot Toys has already announced an impressive lineup of Avengers figures to accompany the movie, which recently became the third movie to top $600MM box office receipts in the United States (the other two being Titanic and Avatar) , but they keep on going. Over the past few weeks, they’ve highlighted:

  • Improvements to the Thor head sculpt
  • Pictures of the muzzle and cuffs for Loki
  • A new Black Widow, updated for her Avengers look
  • A tease of the upcoming Mark VII armor for Iron Man
