Hot Toys Teases More TDKR Batman Pics

I’m still waiting for Bane, but Hot Toys continues to tease the upcoming Batman figure for The Dark Knight Rises. The good news is that they’ve redesigned the suit as a fabric with armor plating – this should avoid some of the reported problems with the earlier Batman DX, like oily leaks and corrosion. I’d think that another plus of the fabric suit would be better poseability.

A great figure not only requires an accurate head sculpt, but also a full gear of outfit and accessories true to the original. After long development, we are excited to bring to fans our newly developed Batsuit of the DX Batman, featuring fabric costume with armor originally developed based on the costume design in The Dark Knight Rises movie!Batman fans, the most authentic Batman is arriving in the city very soon! Please stay tuned!

SDCC 2012: The Hobbit Bilbo Exclusive No Pics Preview

It’s a little over five months before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will hit theaters, and only three months before toys are due to hit shelves – and there are *still* no pictures of the upcoming action figure lines from Bridge Direct, the master toy and game licensee. That will change next week at San Diego Comic-Con – they’ve released their list of Comic-Con exclusives, and Entertainment Earth will be selling an exclusive, 6-inch, ring-wearing Bilbo.

The Bridge Direct’s limited edition 6 inch scale figure of Bilbo Baggins presents the popular title character from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in his “invisible” state while wearing the ring, which can be seen on his hand. Available only at the San Diego Comic-Con 2012, this intricately detailed transparent figure is presented in a numbered collector’s edition box.

Hot Toys – The Bat Vehicle from The Dark Knight Rises Needs its own Hangar

And you thought the Hot Toys Tumbler (the re-release of which should arrive in August) was big? I have tried to avoid any clips or news about the movie, so I don’t have any idea if this behemoth of the Bat has been shown, but damn, that thing is going to be massive. Get ready to move one of the cars onto the street, because that’s going to take up one parking space on its own.

This thing is cool, but I’m still waiting for the reveals of Bane and Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises movie is coming in just two weeks! Batman fans, are you ready for the movie and its collectibles?

Here comes the DX Batman in its high-flying The Bat collectible from the movie! Please expect the most movie-accurate DX Batman to come very soon!

Which Hulk Figure is the Strongest One There Is?

Face-Off-Hulk

I tried to like Angst Lee’s Hulk, and while the Incredible Hulk did a little better, it wasn’t until I saw the Avengers movie that I thought, at last – a Hulk truly worthy of the big screen. And now I’m in the market for a new Hulk figure that’s worthy of the Avengers movie’s Hulk. Funny how that works, right? Now, both Marvel Select and Hasbro have movie Hulks, and from what I’ve seen they both feature pretty good sculpts and pretty good articulation.

My de facto Hulk for the past few years has been the very awesome Marvel Legends Face-Off Hulk (pictured above). I really love the head sculpt (and I’m not necessarily looking for a Ruffalo Hulk) and the size is about right for what I’m looking for. On the downside, he doesn’t have any ab articulation, and the range of motion on his elbows is pretty limited. Given these thoughts, which Hulk would you recommend for me? Marvel Select Hulk or the Hasbro Hulk exclusive to Wal-Mart? Or is the Face Off Hulk still the strongest one there is?

Let me know what you think!
