Entertainment Earth Reveals Marvel Legends Civil War 3-Pack with Cap, Iron Man, and Spidey

Just in time for the Captain America: Civil War premiere in the United States, Entertainment Earth has an exclusive reveal of a Marvel Legends Civil War 3-pack, featuring battle-damaged versions of Captain America and Iron Man, and the debut of the rebooted MCU Tom Holland Spider-Man. The set will also come with unmasked heads for Steve Rogers and Tony Stark – I can’t tell for sure but the Stark head looks different (and better, in my opinion) from the one that got released with the European exclusive Disney Store set.

It doesn’t look like this set will be exclusive to EE, but they do claim that they will be the first to receive it. The set is due to arrive there in August. Pre-order here:

Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War Giant Man Wave – Packaged Pics First Look

Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War - packaged pics (1 of 17)

Hasbro released a press pic of the Build-a-Figure from the second Captain America wave of Marvel Legends – Giant Man from the Captain America: Civil War movie due out May 6 this year. The assortment should hit shelves this summer and will include Captain America, Iron Man in the Mark 46 armor, and Black Panther figures from the upcoming film, as well as Nuke, Nick Fury, and Red Guardian figures from the comics.

In addition to the pic of Giant Man, I was lucky enough to find fresh cases of the Cap wave at a local toy store during a recent trip to Asia. Apologies in advance for any blurry shots – I was hastily snapping shots and putting the figures back into the cases, as they were exorbitantly expensive. But I was able to get some pics of each of the six figures, including some close-ups of the alternate heads that will come with a few of them.

Toy Fair 2016: Hasbro Marvel Legends Report

Toy Fair 2016 - Hasbro Marvel Legends Report

In the past, I’d separate the Hasbro Marvel reports into Marvel Legends and everything else. At this Toy Fair, Hasbro has completed the consolidation of all the collector-oriented Marvel lines into the Marvel Legends brand. And while this will certainly cause confusion for non-collectors who shop for their collector loved ones, it’s really a testament to the strength of Legends.

Think back to 2007, when Hasbro first started producing Legends. Back then, it was clear that the star of 6-inch Legends had faded; Hasbro was focusing on their bread and butter 3.75-inch scale. Today, however, it’s 6-inch that is propelling the brand forward. Over 8MM units have been shipped since Hasbro first took over the license. Over 200 figures (many more if you count variants) have been produced.
