Hasbro is building excitement in the weeks ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, by hosting a special online event today for fan websites. In an exclusive video chat, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team revealed the final two carded figures and the Build-A-Figure for the Marvel Knights / Netflix wave. They also teased three figures from a new Legends wave tied to Thor: Ragnarok.
Hasbro has shared its official press images for the Marvel Legends reveals from earlier this morning. Following the release of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer last night, CBR had the honors of revealing the first look at the Michael Keaton Vulture Marvel Legends figure.
And while Hasbro shared the first reveals from the next wave of Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy at San Diego Comic-Con, the Nerdist got to reveal that new figures for Star-Lord, Drax, and Yondu would round out the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy wave.
By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth, we’re a couple of months away from Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Strange hitting theaters, on November 4 in the US. Online retailers have their pre-orders up for the Strange Marvel Legends wave, and they’re expecting figures to land some time this month.
Here’s where I recommend picking them up:
- Full case at Entertainment Earth for $159.99 – http://afpics.link/2c5GekG
Unlike most Legends waves, this one has eight individual figures. You will not have any extras after you assemble the BAF, the dread Dormammu. EE has the benefit of free shipping, which makes a difference.

Hasbro held its Marvel Legends panel at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday afternoon. In it, they covered the entirety of their Marvel Legends line, which now spans 12-inch, 6-inch, and 3.75-inch figures, as well as role playing items like the Captain America 75th Anniversary Shield. The “upgraded” Cap shield a special metal edition to commemorate the auspicious anniversary, while the less expensive version of the Cap shield has the same dimensions and leather straps, but is made of plastic.
After watching the panel, be sure to check out our SDCC 2016: Hasbro Marvel Legends Update for more details on the reveals and teases for the 6-inch and 12-inch lines.
Hasbro may have jump-started SDCC 2016 by revealing the latest figures in the upcoming Marvel Legends Spider-Man and Dr. Strange waves, but they’ve continued to add goodness to their booth display each day. That’s culminated with the official reveals during their panel discussion earlier today.
We’ll have our video of the Hasbro Marvel panel, including the full Q&A, posted some time tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s the latest on what’s coming up for the Marvel Legends 6-inch line in 2017.
