DC Universe Classics Wave 11 In Stock at Toys R Us

AFP reader Paul emailed yesterday (thanks!) to tell us that he’s seeing DC Universe Classics Wave 11 both at their bricks and mortar locations and online. I haven’t yet seen the Kilowog series at stores, and I think there’s still pretty heavy demand, as  TRU is down to three figures remaining in stock online:

Happy hunting!

AFP Ask Matty Round-Up for 4/30/10

We had a few questions after the Attack of the Show! reveals that Toy Guru and the folks at Mattel have answered. Thanks guys!

1. Great reveals on Attack of the Show! Some questions of the “grand daddy” of items, the DC Infinite Heroes Starro exclusive – does the large Starro feature any articulation or is it flexible at all? Now that you’re giving us Starro for the DCIH line, how does that affect our chances for getting an even bigger Starro in the DC Universe Classics line, as a Collect and Connect, for example?

Starro is made of rubber-like material and has metal rods similar to Clayface. While this Starro does not take the place of a possible Collect and Connect, we did purposely make him so he would work with any number of DC lines. That doesn’t mean we would not revisit him again one day in the 6-inch line!

Masters of the Universe Classics Count Marzo Packaged Pics

There’s been a lot of discussion about Masters of the Universe Classics Count Marzo – some of the diehard fans of the Masters of the Universe 200X line have had their emotions toyed with by his hairstyle. Is his windblown hairstyle in the style that defined 200X? That doesn’t matter much to me – I just care that it looks good and it fits in with my MOTUC collection.

I’m a little surprised that with Count Marzo, we’ve gotten to the end of the regular-sized individually carded Masters of the Universe Classics figures that Mattel revealed at Toy Fair. Marzo is the Club Eternia figure this upcoming July. We’ve yet to see carded shots of the oversized figures, Tytus and Gy-Gor, but it feels like we ought to be getting a few new reveals for MOTUC soon. I wonder if we’ll have to wait for San Diego Comic-Con, though.

Marzo is ready to go!

Check it out, just got in carded samples of the Count!

Another month, another Masters of the Universe Classics sellout. It seems this line is going full speed ahead and this month’s release is a very important character in the Masters of the Universe mythos: Evelyn Morgan Powers a.k.a Evil-Lyn!!

The evil dark arts master is a reuse of the Teela body, with some nice improvements.

Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia – Map of Eternia Viewer

A few days ago, I published some quick pics of the Club Eternia exclusives, most notably, the Map of Eternia. If you’re curious about what’s actually on that map, my wife, who is a master of the digital media universe, helped me whip up a little map viewer for you.

  • Position your mouse over areas of the map to magnify it.
  • To zoom in or out, scroll up or down with your mousewheel.

There’s lots of interesting locations I had never heard of before. Enjoy exploring Eternia!
