Masters of the Universe Classics San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Orko and Prince Adam Packaged Pics

Mattel shared packaged pics of the SDCC exclusive Masters of the Universe Classics Orko. I’m wondering if people who keep their MOTUC collection carded are bothered that this package is slightly larger to accommodate the Prince Adam pack-in that you can make out lying at the bottom of the bubble. I suppose there wasn’t a way to keep the packaging size consistent even without hiding Adam to keep focus on Orko.

Just got in carded samples! Enjoy and have a great weekend everyone.

SDCC version of Orko with color change figure and book! Both versions will come with the same Prince Adam and the same pack out. The card is a bit larger compared to a standard figure.

Orko’s package back. This will be the same for both the SDCC version and the Mattycollector.com version!

Marvel Legends Iron Man 6-Inch Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man Test Shots with Custom Paint

You may remember that in December last year, test shots for 6-inch scaled Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo figures started appearing on eBay. We got a closer look at a pair of the test shots in January.

Apparently, more of these test shots have continued to make their way to eBay, and Fwoosher Atgscl went through the trouble to paint his set.

Jazwares A-Team Movie Toy Line Press Pics

I guess I’m dating myself, but I’m old enough to have seen The A-Team when it was on TV. Sure, it’s somewhat corny, but with an eclectic set of characters, car chases, explosions, and a few laughs, it seems like a slam dunk for adaptation to the big screen. If you’ve never seen the TV show, you can watch the A-Team on Hulu.

The toys, both in 3 3/4-inch and 12-inch scale, for the upcoming movie were just featured on the MTV Movies Blog, and Jazwares was kind enough to share the pics with us.

AFP Ask Matty Round-Up for 5/15/10

Toy Guru and Mattel are back with another edition of Ask Matty. Thanks, guys!

1. We love the softer plastic that was used for the outfit on the Masters of the Universe Classics Evil-Lyn (see Sandman’s Evil-Lyn review), which really helps when posing her legs. Are you planning to use this softer plastic when you re-issue Teela?

Yes we are.

DC Universe Classics Wave 15 Lineup Revealed?

There’s been a lot of speculation on who will be included in DC Universe Classics Wave 15. With wave 13 shipping (see Buzzy’s awesome DC Universe Classics Wave 13 review) and wave 14 going exclusively to Wal-Mart, it feels like we’re due for a reveal soon. Today, AFP reader Bruno emailed me with an interesting tidbit – CmdStore and their retail arm, Toys on Fire, have listed the wave 15 figures individually:

  • Martian Manhunter – normal head and alien head variants
  • Starman – modern and vintage variants
  • Jemm
  • Omac
  • Batman (Sinestro Corps)
  • Golden Pharaoh
  • Raven (Fan’s Choice)

From the listings, I’d guess that Martian Manhunters would be split 70/30 and Starmen 50/50, since there’s an assortment that includes both Starman variants and a random Manhunter. I checked the AFP sponsors, Big Bad Toy Store and Enchanted Toy Chest – they have both still not revealed the individual figures in the assortment. But there was an interesting tidbit on the Corner Store Comics listing – that images would be revealed tomorrow, May 15.

As this wave has yet to be officially revealed by Mattel, I’d take this lineup with a boulder-sized grain of salt. If the listing is accurate, perhaps CmdStore was able to reveal it because they’re based in Canada. And even so, we’re still in the dark as far as the Collect and Connect figure for the wave.  Any guesses?

Big thanks to Bruno for the tip.
