Four Horsemen (17 of 30)

I had a quick look at the Four Horsemen Gothitropolis Ravens on Preview Night, but with this post, here’s a closer look at the Ravens with my “real” camera, as well as the ongoing Outer Space Men and the upcoming Power Lords lines.

SDCC 2013: Hasbro Marvel Legends (Preview Night)

Hasbro Marvel Legends (Preview Night) (30 of 30)

Hasbro’s 6-inch Marvel figures have steadily improved during their tenure – and since the relaunch of Marvel Legends last year, Hasbro has consistently had a great showing during San Diego Comic-Con. Preview Night featured a new series of Marvel Legends, a surprise set of three new figures for the 6-inch Iron Man line, and a look at some packaged figures from the Wolverine Legends line.

My wife tells me that some folks are expecting the DC Comics licensed Uglies to show up at San Diego Comic-Con, but as far as official news is concerned, it’s a previously unseen mashup with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty which are featured as exclusives for SDCC. Wage, Ice Bat, Ox, and Trunko (who gets the nod over mainstay Babo) show up as costumes for Hello Kitty in 12-inch plush, keychains, t-shirts, pins, and iPhone cases.

The email announcement also showed vinyl figures, but these were not called out on the Comic-Con page.

Hot Toys Has Four More Reasons to Visit Sideshow at SDCC

I already love spending time at the Sideshow Collectibles booth at San Diego Comic-Con – it’s massive and chock full of 1/6 scale goodness. And even though it’s just a couple days away, Hot Toys is still driving up the pre-show hype with previews of some figures that will debut at the big show at Sideshow. We saw the Hot Toys Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile last year, and finally we’ll have an Adam West Batman and Burt Ward Robin to go with it.

Hot Toys teased the Iron Man Heartbreaker armor previously, but it’ll be nice to see it (and a ton of other Iron Men, I am sure) up close. And I had no idea they were doing Lone Ranger figure(s) – Johnny Depp’s Tonto is up first, and I can’t imagine that Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger will follow soon.
