I Am Your Fodder: DC Universe Classics Catwoman, Artemis, and Aqualad

Batman Legacy Catwoman Collector Figure DC Universe Young Justice Artemis Figure DC Universe Young Justice Aqualad Figure

Here’s some deals for DC Universe Classics customizers:

  • Batman Legacy Catwoman Collector Figure – $9.88 – this classic Catwoman from the Batman Legacy line was a highly sought after version of Selina Kyle but ultimately peg-warmed – she’s got a nice blank body, high-heeled boots, skirt, and a cape
  • DC Universe Young Justice 6″ Artemis Figure – $9.28 – the 6-inch Young Justice line tanked at retail – the show getting canceled didn’t help, but the $20+ price point was the clincher – Artemis comes with a mostly blank body with the exception of some buckled boots, but as a deluxe figure she also has a compound bow, quiver, and arrows
  • DC Universe Young Justice 6″ Aqualad Figure – $8.33 – accompanying Artemis is Aqualad from the deluxe Young Justice line, also discounted deeply – another blank body aside from the Aqua-buckle and fins on his calves, he comes with a bunch of translucent water accessories and also has some useful bare feet

I Am Your Fodder highlights action figures that are cheap and would make interesting customizing fodder.

WebSwipe: Assembling the Perfect Star Trek TOS Crew – A Piece of the Action

Speaking of those Art Asylum Star Trek figures for the Original Series, here’s a blog post from the always awesome A Piece of the Action, a site that covers Star Trek memorabilia, mostly action figures. This post covers how to put together the ultimate Original Series crew, using the figures from both Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys (after they acquired AA and the Trek license).

This is for all of you Trek aficionado customizers who seek perfection in their TOS crew.

I figured it would be a good time to give you my version of a definitive AA/ DST crew. Some of these are pretty easy picks… others not so much. Some are gonna take a little elbow grease and extra dough to make happen. But you want the best, ya gotta work for it… And of course, this is all my opinion here. You may not agree with my picks, and that is totally cool. These just happen to be my personal picks after years of Trek collecting. So without further ado… My ultimate AA/ DST Classic Star Trek Crew!

Diamond Select Toys Reveals Star Trek Select Kirk Official Pics

With Iron Mania still sweeping through theaters, I’ve been missing toy hype for a little movie opening this weekend – Star Trek Into Darkness. Wait a minute – what do you mean, there are no toys? I guess that even with the blockbuster status attained by the Star Trek reboot four years ago (incidentally, you will get the Star Trek reboot as an iTunes download for free if you buy your Star Trek Into Darkness tickets on Fandango), toy companies and retailers have a long memory when it comes to under-performing toy lines.

Thank goodness for the Original Series, the Next Generation, and the rest of the Trek licenses that Diamond Select Toys holds. It means we have some Trek stuff to run this week! Here’s the official pics of the upcoming Star Trek Select Captain James T. Kirk. I’m glad to see new Star Trek figures from DST, but I still have a special place in my heart for the original, more poseable Star Trek figures, from back when they were from Art Asylum.

We recently played Spot the Spock, but now it’s time to play Kick the Khan! The second Star Trek Select figure just got new packaging shots, so we thought we’d show you what Captain Kirk looks like in his new Select packaging.Kirk comes with an engineering room diorama base, a second set of hands, a broken phaser and a control rod, as well as a second set of legs so he can deliver a flying kick to the reeling figure of Khan himself!
