Webswipe: Batman v Superman Costumes and Batmobile Video – Bleacher Report

Batman v Superman costumes and Batmobile

With the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer officially released, Warner Bros. has allowed Bleacher Reports to publish a new video yesterday of NBA player DeAndre Jordan on a tour of the Batman 75th anniversary exhibit that’s part of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The exhibit houses many costumes, props, and vehicles from the Batman movies starring Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, and Bale – but they surprised Jordan with the costumes and Batmobile from the latest movie too.

With the focus on Batman, the video gives some nice close-ups of the newest Batsuit, including the cowl, the chest emblem, gauntlets, and utility belt. But it also gives a brief glance at the costumes of Superman and Wonder Woman. Not much new with Superman’s duds, but with Wonder Woman we get to see how it looks compared to the heavily processed teaser image of Gal Gadot in costume. It looks much more colorful and in line with her palette from the comic books. And then of course, there’s a lot of quick cuts showing off the Batmobile. How are you liking them?

No Joke – Mattycollector Convention Exclusives 20% Off Sale – 24 Hours Only, Starting Tomorrow

Mattycollector convention exclusives 24 hour sale

Mattel is continuing to clear out remaining inventory at Mattycollector – on sale tomorrow for 20% off are DC Universe and Masters of the Universe Classics figures from San Diego Comic-Con and the “traveling conventions.” Most of these are from the past two years – but I’m surprised that Matty still has some of the Mo-Larr vs Skeletor 2-packs from way back in 2010 in stock. I’m a Robot Chicken fan, but maybe the Eternian Dentist was too much of a stretch for the hardcore He-Fans.

The sale at Mattycollector starts at 9AM PST tomorrow, April 2nd. It lasts for 24 hours, but judging from previous sales, your best bet is to get there at the opening bell if there’s something you really want. No April Fools, and happy shopping!

Watch Robot Chicken – Giving Bats a Ride

Robot Chicken - Giving Bats a Ride

Need a laugh today? Watch Batman ask Green Lantern to “Pimp My Ride” as the Mego Justice League fights the DC Universe Classics Chemo, in this classic clip from Robot Chicken.

Now admit that this could be a better Justice League than Zack Snyder can pull together for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. 😀

Toy Fair 2015: DC Collectibles DC Comics Icons Will Make You Forget DC Universe Classics

Toy Fair 2015 DC Collectibles DC Comics Icons (1 of 15)

As I was taking pics of DC Collectibles newest line, the super-articulated DC Comics Icons, I overheard one of the DC Collectibles reps describe the line. “Yes, these are 6-inch scaled figures, so we are competing with Mattel!” News flash, DCC rep: DC Universe Classics is already history!

But even if they weren’t I’d wager that this line would give DCUC a run for its money. Even at the $24.99 price tag, the line embraces DC Collectibles aesthetics, with remarkable head and body sculpts – but they also add in the articulation scheme that DCC first tried out on their 3.75-inch figures. This makes for a pretty damn compelling combination.
