Toy Fair 2011 – Square Enix

Considering that Square Enix had one of my favorite displays at Toy Fair, there’s really no excuse for these pics to have sat on my hard drive for this long. I must have just overlooked not posting them back in February. But today, I was thinking about how much I wished SOTA Toys was still making Street Fighter action figures when I remembered the awesomeness of the prototypes that Square Enix had on display for Street Fighter in their Play Arts Kai line. With their other licenses, including Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and more, Square Enix has really come on strong in the video game segment for action figures.

AFP Ask Matty Round-Up for 5/1/11

Ok, we’re a few days behind for the latest Ask Matty Q&A, and these were from WonderCon. Thanks to the Mattel team for these answers.

1) Hurricane Hordak looks like a great quarterly bonus figure for Masters of the Universe Classics. Will his arm attachments be compatible with those from Roboto and Trap Jaw? What was the rationale behind including the dial on his back?

Yes, as announced at Wonder Con his attachments will indeed work like Trap Jaw or Roboto incase we ever want to do some re-decos down the road for a Weapon Pak.

Info from Gimbat’s 3A Daily News Thread. I have been psyched for the 1/12 scale Dropcloth and Popbot, but I had not yet seen anything on a 1/12 Tomorrow King 4-Pack. That might be hard to pass up, if I can get my hands on a set.
