Kickstarter Monday: Four Horsemen Mythic Legions Kickstarter Fully Funded and Hits All Stretch Goals

Four Horsemen Mythic Legions - Vitus, Asterionn, and Malleus

Doubling up on stretch goals and lowering their funding targets has worked – over the weekend the Four Horsemen’s Mythic Legions Kickstarter project hit the minimum threshold for funding the production of the line, and then it proceeded to hit the targets for the remaining stretch goals. That means all of the champions and army builders that were originally announced, plus the additions of the Bog Goblin and Malleus (another skeleton champ) will get made.

The Four Horsemen, who were on the west coast this weekend for the Long Beach Comic Expo, have still to reveal Azhar and Zazhar, the two figures who were unlocked when the last stretch goal was hit. I’m hoping that with 9 days left in the campaign, they have a few more figures in mind that they can add as another stretch goal, to keep the momentum going.

Weekend Toy Run: Spider-Man Marvel Legends Hobgoblin Wave at Amazon

SDCC 2014 Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015

The latest wave of Marvel Legends, featuring a Spider-Man theme with a Hobgoblin build-a-figure, is now available to pre-order at Amazon. Each of the figures is available individually for $21.99 with a March 25 release date, and can qualify for free 2-day Prime shipping.

You can also pre-order a case of the Hobgoblin wave at Entertainment Earth for the best per figure price, but that will leave you with an extra Spider-Man and Anti-Venom. Or you can pre-order a set at BigBadToyStore – no leftovers, but it’s a higher per figure price than Amazon and you pay shipping on top of that.

See more of Spidey Legends (aka The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends Infinite Series) in our Marvel Legends report and Marvel Legends video fly-bys from Toy Fair. And thanks to our good friend Paul for once again giving us the heads-up. Happy shopping!

Watch Robot Chicken – Giving Bats a Ride

Robot Chicken - Giving Bats a Ride

Need a laugh today? Watch Batman ask Green Lantern to “Pimp My Ride” as the Mego Justice League fights the DC Universe Classics Chemo, in this classic clip from Robot Chicken.

Now admit that this could be a better Justice League than Zack Snyder can pull together for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. 😀

Threezero Breaking Bad Heisenberg Up For Pre-Order Now

Threezero Breaking Bad Heisenberg

I was really impressed with Buzzy Fret’s pics of the threezero Game of Thrones Tyrion Lannister. If the imp is representative of what threezero can do, then this 1/6 scale Heisenberg will be an indispensable part of your (and my) Breaking Bad collection. I’ve seen a number of custom Walter Whites in 1/6 scale and thought it was a great opportunity for someone to pick up the license – I’m glad it’s threezero. They’ve got the manufacturing chops to do the figure justice, and with the quality of sculpt and paint work we’re seeing from them, I’m bullish that this will turn out great.

To top it off, Heisenberg is coming with a bunch of accessories (more than the imp and Michonne’s pets from Walking Dead), including his hat, glasses, sunglasses, gun, stacks of cash, and more. You can pre-order at threezero’s store for $150 or from Entertainment Earth for $139.99. That’s an exceptional value for this figure – Jesse Pinkman must be in charge of the pricing there.

Sideshow Collectibles Batman Gotham Knight Sixth Scale Preview and Giveaway

I’ve been having a great time taking pictures of the exclusive Sideshow Collectibles Batman from last year (check out @AFPRon on Instagram) – it’s easily my favorite Batman figure I’ve owned (and I have a lot of them). While the sixth scale Batman is still available in the non-exclusive version, if your tastes run toward the black and gray, Sideshow has put up a preview of a “Gotham Knight” variant of Batman.

In addition to the palette change to black and gray, the Gotham Knight version of Bats has some other changes from the original. It comes with three portraits with interchangeable facial expressions – the newest having extra long bat ears, reminiscent of Kelley Jones’s rendition of the Dark Knight. Mix and match ears to grimaces to your heart’s content. The bat symbol on his chest is also different from the original, and the buckle on his utility belt matches the pouches (on the earlier Batman the buckle was a darker metallic.

I think I’m set with the blue and gray, but if you haven’t yet jumped on this line, you couldn’t go wrong with either. The Gotham Knight Batman will go up for pre-order tomorrow, for $199.99. Sideshow is also giving away a Gotham Knight Batman – so check out the preview to enter.
